JTA is a family focused Speech-Language Pathology and Occupational Therapy private practice that helps toddlers, children and teens with developmental delays, developmental disabilities, and/or intellectual disabilities have richer lives.

We are looking for Speech-Language Pathologists who want to expand their experience, professional growth, and specialty areas in augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) and/or in speech and language development. Our Speech-Language Pathologists focus on helping toddlers, children and teens develop and increase their communication skills.

About the role

This is an ideal position for a person who takes initiative, is a self-starter, and wants to be part of a dynamic and well established practice specializing in augmentative and alternative communication (AAC). In additional to providing AAC evaluations and interventions, we are hiring SLPs who provide more traditional speech and language evaluations and therapy.

A minimum of three to five years of experience is preferred, however, strong candidates will be considered. Candidates must be licensed to practice in Colorado.

Job Description:

Speech-Language Pathologist are responsible for providing speech-language evaluations and interventions, including augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), to toddlers, children, and teens who have developmental delays, developmental disabilities, and/or intellectual disabilities.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Conduct evaluations and interventions of speech and language skills that are child-centered and family focused.
  • Plan, organize and deliver speech-language therapy based on needs of individuals and their families.
  • Develop treatment plans for clients’ speech and language goals and progress monitor.
  • Utilize evidence-based practice in delivering care.
  • Document assessment, treatment goals, and progress notes and maintain client files according to practice standards in a timely manner.
  • Update clients’ progress by completing Comprehensive Assessments every 90 days.
  • Provide family education, training and coaching.
  • Provide strategies and supports to clients, families, and intervention team as appropriate.
  • Communicate and collaborate with other disciplines in the practice and with other professionals who work with clients and families.

Qualifications:

  • A Masters Degree in Speech Language Pathology/Communication Disorders
  • Colorado Speech-Language Pathology License 
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence  
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience preferred
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Creativity, flexibility, and a willingness to learn
  • Skilled in establishing rapport with clients, families, and team members
